The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, owned by ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company), has been confirmed as the host venue for the inaugural Middle East edition of SIAL, one of the world’s largest exhibitions for the global food industry.

To be held from 15 to 17 November 2010, SIAL Middle East 2010 will bring together professionals involved in buying and selling food products and services to see new ideas, innovations and conduct domestic and international business.

SIAL, one of the world’s leading trade exhibitions for those involved in the food industry, was created in 1964. Held every two years in Paris, it attracts more than 147,000 visitors from 185 countries who come to meet over 5,500 exhibitors from 101 countries.

SIAL Middle East will be the latest event to join SIAL Group, the SIAL network of exhibitions which are presently held in Paris, Shanghai, Montreal and Buenos Aires.

“The rapidly changing food marketplace means that there is a real need to expose the latest trends, innovations, and equipment” said Bernard Becker, Chairman of Comexposium, the organisers of SIAL. “The Middle East is one of the most buoyant markets and we look forward to introducing the brand in Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital.”

SIAL Middle East will be run by Turret Middle East, one of the leading exhibition organisers in the region.
