V Australia launches Los Angeles, Phuket and Johannesburg Promotion

Virgin Blue Group’s newest international airline, V Australia, is now offering special fares from Auckland and Christchurch to Los Angeles with connecting trans-Tasman flights on Emirates.

The airline also has deals to Johannesburg from Auckland and to Phuket from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, with connecting flights on Pacific Blue.

Virgin Blue Airlines Group CEO Brett Godfrey said, “Kiwis are great travelers and they know good value and quality when they see it. V Australia’s new services to LA with connections on Emirates, and our soon-to-launch services to Thailand and South Africa with connections on Pacific Blue, mean we can offer New Zealanders a whole bunch of new travel choices on a fresh new airline at very competitive prices.”

All fares on the new services will earn points on the Velocity rewards program, which can be redeemed on V Australia, Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue, and Polynesian Blue flights, as well as on partner airlines.

To Los Angeles from Auckland/Christchurch with trans-Tasman travel on Emirates:

- Economy From $1,199 return
- Premium Economy From $1,999 return
- Business Class – From $5,499 return

Fares are on sale until 16 Nov 2009 or until sold out. Economy fares are for travel 1 Feb -31 March 2010, 1 May -23 June 2010, and 1 Aug-31 Aug 2010. Premium Economy and Business Class fares are for travel before 30 Nov 2009.

To Phuket from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch with trans-Tasman travel on Pacific Blue:

Economy From $699 one way
Premium Economy From $1,149 one way
Business Class From $1,799 one way

Fares are on sale until 22 Nov 2009 or until sold out for travel 22 Nov 2009 – 31 May 2010.

To Johannesburg from Auckland with trans-Tasman travel on Pacific Blue:

Economy From $2,169 return
Premium Economy From $4,199 return
Business Class From $6,573 return

Fares are on sale until 16 Nov 2009 or until sold out for travel 13 March – 31 May 2010.

Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or peak days. An additional charge of NZ$15 per passanger per booking is applicable to all fares paid by credit/debit card. Tickets purchased through the Guest Contact Centre cost NZ$50 more. Conditions and travel restrictions apply
