The latest developments in the international
airport industry today once again take center stage in Munich. The
17th edition of Inter Airport Europe, one of the worlds leading
trade fairs for airport equipment, technology and services, takes
place in the Bavarian capital from Tuesday, October 6 to Friday,
			  October 9, 2009.
This year, however, the venue is new.
After five successful years at Munich Airport, heavy demand for
hangar facilities by airlines made space at the airport too scarce
to host this major event. This year's Inter Airport is therefore
being held for the first time at the Messe Mnchen International
			  trade fair facility.
						Munich Airport's CEO Michael Kerkloh
said, "Innovations are the driving force
for every economic sector, particularly in times of crisis. I am
therefore confident that this trade fair, which serves as a
valuable information and contact exchange, will meet with an
			  enormous response again this year."
						Inter Airport is
regarded as a key event for producers of airport equipment to show
off their latest developments. Since moving to Munich it
has enjoyed enormous success. Two years ago the total of
13,000 attendees from 128 countries set a new record.
						This year 550
exhibitors from 30 different countries are expected to be
						presenting their leading-edge airport technologies.
Andreas von Puttkamer, who heads Munich
Airport's aviation divisions, will open the trade fair with a
welcoming address. Munich Airport is taking part in the event with
a 50 square meter booth (Hall B5, booth 818). Experts from Munich
Airport will use slides and computer presentations to demonstrate
technologies such as the computer-controlled distribution system
in the traffic division. The Munich Airport booth will also
present information on international projects where Munich Airport
			  plays a consulting role.
Inter Airport Europe 2009 will be
open from Tuesday to Thursday (October 68) daily between 9 a.m.
			  and 5 p.m. and on Friday, October 9th between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
For visitors arriving at the airport by S-Bahn or by air, a
regular shuttle bus service will operate between the airport and
			  Neue Messe Mnchen.
