Messe Berlin (Singapore) is offering a 15% early bird
discount on exhibition space at ITB Asia 2009. The offer is valid for
all completed applications received before 20 March. ITB Asia will take
place at the Suntec Singapore Exhibition & Convention Centre, 21-23
October this year.
With the early bird discount, a basic nine
square metre shell scheme booth would cost US$2,456. The 15% offer
applies to all exhibition space bookings, regardless of size.
The inaugural ITB Asia last year sold out three
months prior to its opening. It attracted 651 exhibiting companies
from 58 countries, and around 6,200 delegates attended the
three-day B2B show and convention.
In an independent post-ITB Asia
2008 survey, 90% of exhibitors who responded said they
would “highly recommend” participation at ITB Asia.
The exhibitors’
registration deadline for this year is 15 May.
Messe Berlin
(Singapore) General Manager, Ms Whey Whey Ng, said exhibitors
should act now to save money and avoid disappointment later.
“Companies who are serious about the Asian travel industry need to
be at ITB Asia. We don’t want anyone to miss the boat,” she said.
“The early bird offer is for companies who think strategically and
insist on spending their marketing budget wisely.”
Ms Ng
said ITB Asia 2009 was receiving strong support from leading
travel industry brand names from around Asia and the world,
despite global economic challenges.
Bookings from the Middle East
are already up on last year. Dubai Tourism plans to expand its
presence, while Gulf Air will make its ITB Asia debut with a large
pavilion. Indonesia has increased its floor space for ITB Asia
2009.
From the hotel sector, Starwood has
already pledged support
to ITB Asia for five years. Fairmont Raffles Hotels International
and WORLDHOTELS are also participating as are most other leading
hotel players.
