Hilton has welcomed the Trianon Palace Versailles to
its Waldorf Astoria Collection, signalling the French debut of the
luxury brand in one of the country’s most historic locations.
Simon Vincent, President of Hilton Hotels Europe,
said, “This
marks an exciting and historic occasion for us, with the opening
of our first ever Waldorf Astoria Collection property in France.
The debut of this exciting new brand in one of the country’s
finest locations underscores our strategy to integrate our
successful Hilton Family of Hotels brands into key markets and
locations throughout Europe. It is very fitting that this
magnificent and unique hotel is reborn as a Waldorf Astoria
Collection property, and as our first in France, continues to set
the standard for luxury properties across the region. “
Uniquely located less than a mile from the famed
Chateau de Versailles and 20 kilometres from the heart of Paris,
the Waldorf Astoria Collection Trianon Palace Versailles is

has restored its famed gardens to their former glory incorporating
various original elements.
The elegant 199-room hotel retains many
historic features and has recently completed an extensive
multi-million dollar renovation programme, overseen by noted
interior designer Fiona Thompson, transforming all public areas,
accommodation and guest facilities.
The Waldorf Astoria Collection Trianon Palace Versailles has also been recently recognised at the
2008 European Hotel Design Awards, picking up the top accolade in
the Best Interior Design category for its lobby and public areas.
