Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 20 May 2009

Priority Pass has launched two new ways for members to get instant access to airport lounge details while on the move.

A Priority Pass iPhone application is now available for download on the iTunes App Store. The application, “Priority Pass lounge finder”, allows users to search its database of over 600 airport lounges.

With the application travelers at an airport can simply request details of their nearest lounge. Using GPS, they will instantly be able to locate the closest lounge available to Priority Pass members.

For those who want to plan ahead, there is also the option to easily scroll through more than 100 countries and then 325 airports where lounges are located in order to find details for a future trip

Meanwhile, for those travellers with mobile internet access from other phones, a new mobile website at prioritypass.com/mobile will also allow quick and easy searching for lounges by simply entering an airport code.

Priority Pass membership gives access to more than 600 lounges around the world, all of which are available to members whenever they travel regardless of airline or class of travel.

Commenting on the new launches, Jonathan French, Head of Brand at Priority Pass said, “With millions of members around the world, it’s important that we make sure that it’s as easy as possible for them to find out where our lounges are. We’ve had a lot of feedback from members asking for an iPhone application so we are delighted to deliver it!”
