Two of Vietnam’s top golf courses have
teamed with three Accor hotels to create a selection of special
promotions. In Dalat, for just US$81 per person per night
players receive a Standard Room at the historic
			  Novotel Dalat
hotel, 18 holes of golf with caddie at the Dalat Palace Golf Club
and breakfast at Café de la Poste. Stay in a suite and the price
is just US$139 per night. What’s more, if guests book
more than a night, they receive unlimited golf privileges during
their stay. Those who prefer the next level of luxury in
Dalat win, too - thanks to the 5-star
						Sofitel Dalat Palace, which
is offering a Superior Room and 18 holes of golf with caddie at
the Dalat Palace Golf Club for US$150 per person per night. The
deal includes breakfast at La Rabelais restaurant - in the hotel’s
lobby. As with the Novotel, guests opting to extend their stay
receive unlimited golf. “If you’re a golfer, these packages
couldn’t be more attractive,” said Jeff Puchalski, Dalat Palace
GC’s director of golf. “You get great golf and luxury lodging for
next to nothing. To steal a golf term, they’re right down the
fairway.” The promotions are not limited to Dalat, either. Specials can also
be scored in Phan Thiet, where the
						Novotel Ocean Dunes & Golf
Resort has gotten into the swing of things, even as high season
tees off. A Standard Room and 18 holes of
golf with caddie at the Ocean Dunes Golf Club is available for US$110.
Breakfast at either Seahorse restaurant - on the hotel’s ground
floor - or the course’s clubhouse is included in that price. Just
as in Dalat, stay at least two nights, and enjoy unlimited golf. “It’s the perfect time to play too because the club’s
tournament schedule dies down this part of year,” said Kenny
Saunders, Ocean Dunes GC’s operations manager. “You can pretty
much tee it up, whenever you want. And because there’s less
traffic, the course is in great shape.” The 43-room Sofitel Dalat Palace was built in 1922 as the anchor
to the fledgling colonial resort of Dalat, 300 kilometers
northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. Twelve years later, the 140-room
Novotel Dalat was erected as an annex to the Palace. The
Novotel Ocean Dunes & Golf Resort was the first Accor resort to grace
the shores of Vietnam when it opened in 1996. Embraced on three
sides by a Nick Faldo - designed golf course and by a private,
1.5-kilometer stretch of the East Sea, the six-storey, 123-room
facility continues to stand as beacon of the vibrant resort scene
			  along the South-Central Coast.
