Silversea Cruises is offering special savings on
twelve of its all-inclusive Alaska cruises departing between May
and September 2009.
On the cruises, passengers will be able to discover the
unspoiled paradise of glaciers, rugged mountains, ancient forests
and abundant wildlife from the comfort of the all-suite Silver
Shadow as it cruises in and out of small and off-the-beaten path
ports that larger ships cannot access.
Enjoy a 10
day voyage departing 1 August 2009 from San Francisco, calling at
Ketchikan; the historic gold mining town of Juneau, and
picturesque Sitka, before cruising spectacular Tracy Arm Fjord and
Sawyer Glacier. Silver Shadow then visits Wrangell in the heart of
the Tongass National Forest, Victoria in British Columbia and
Vancouver. The all-inclusive cruise only fares start from US$4,497
per person, double occupancy – a saving of 40%.
Alternatively choose a 9 day roundtrip voyage from
Vancouver departing 25 August 2009, with ports of call including
Sitka; Juneau; Skagway, which retains the flavour of the Gold Rush
era; Wrangell, and Victoria BC. All-inclusive fares start from
US$3,397 per person, double occupancy – a saving of 50%.
Port and fuel
charges, government fees and taxes are additional to the fares
quoted above.
A team of expert Alaska Cruise Lecturers will be
aboard all twelve voyages to enlighten and entertain guests with
onboard commentary, slide lectures and personal insights into the
history, nature, wildlife and people of the region.
Shore excursions are also available to complement the
cruise, and well as pre and post-cruise Silver Sights programmes
in deluxe hotels and Land Programmes to destinations such as the
Canadian Rockies and Denali National Park.
Silver Shadow is a luxurious yet
intimate base at sea, with a crew of 295 looking after a
maximum of 382 guests. Silversea’s fares includes all-suite
accommodation; gourmet meals; complimentary wines, Champagne and
