Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Thursday, 19 March 2009

Marriott has opened its second extended stay property in Bangkok, the Marriott Executive Apartments Sathorn Vista, under a management agreement with Metrostar Property. Doris Marchardt is General Manager and Roger Parnow is Director of Sales.

The Sathorn Vista property offers one, two, and three-bedroom suites ranging from 65 – 165 square meters in size, combining five-star amenities such as mini bar, high speed internet and LCD TVs in all bedrooms and living rooms, with home conveniences of a fully equipped kitchen and DVD players. The property provides daily newspaper service, breakfast and housekeeping, with rates starting from 3,500 ++ Baht per night.

Centrally located, Marriott Executive Apartments Sathorn Vista is a short walk from Lumipini MRT subway and Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain, the main transportation channels that provide quick and easy access to almost every part of the bustling city. Nearby is the lively Silom area, famous for its dining options, malls, entertainment and nightlife. From Thai silk at the Jim Thompson House to handicrafts at the Suan Lum Night Bazaar, residents at the Marriott Executive Apartments Sathorn Vista are in the vicinity of great shopping, as well as cultural attractions like the Grand Palace, the Erawan Shrine and Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn).

When not out exploring Bangkok, residents can relax at the hotel’s salt water pool with views of the city’s skyline, workout at the 24-hour fitness center, or enjoy a satisfying meal at MoMo Café, that serves three meals a day as well as room service. Socializing in the residents lounge is a good way to meet other ex-pats or visitors and to exchange stories while winding down the day. A concierge desk is readily available to help families navigate the city and nearby neighborhoods, while business center associates stand by to assist residents who might need professional services or access to the property’s boardroom.

Marriott opened its first Marriott Executive Apartments, the 162-unit Mayfair Bangkok, in 2003. A third Marriott Executive Apartment property in Bangkok will open this summer at Sukhumvit 24, featuring 300 suites; badminton, tennis and squash courts, retail shops, meeting space, a spa, and a 200 seat restaurant and bar.
