MTT Enhances Radissons Mobile Services

Dublin-based software specialist Mobile Travel Technologies recently supported Radisson Hotels & Resorts launch mobile services in Australia, India and the UK.

The new service allows travellers to respond instantly to hotel promotions via mobile, using a combination of SMS and mobile web technologies. The mobile website also enables Radisson Hotels & Resorts customers to make reservations, access existing bookings and view hotel information, images and directions from their mobile devices.

The solution adds another dimension to Radisson Hotels & Resorts direct communications with its customers and creates a new distribution tool, allowing customers to make real-time bookings via mobile.

The launch of mobile services by Radisson Hotels & Resorts presents another milestone in our efforts to improve customer communication and services as it allows consumers to Connect while On the Go, said Frank Trampert, Executive Vice President, Revenue Generation - Asia Pacific, Carlson Hotels Worldwide. Additionally, we are confident that mobile will develop as an effective new booking channel as customers increasingly respond to and book last minute promotional offers via their mobile devices.

Radisson Mobile is powered by MTTs intelligent mobile hotel platform, m2bed, which provides integrated SMS messaging and mobile web to fulfil Radissons requirements. The mobile site interfaces directly with Radissons existing systems.

The m2bed SMS messaging allows Radisson Hotels & Resorts to send out personalised promotional messages to valued customers who have previously opted to receive such messages. The messages contain a deep link to certain promotional offers on the mobile website. These offers can be booked and confirmed on mobile a great example of using the context of mobile to encourage instant response and fulfilment.
