Marco Polo signs New Hotel in Jinjiang, China

Marco Polo Hotels has signed a management contract for a new property in the Fujian Province of China.

The Marco Polo Jinjiang, scheduled to open in 2010, will provide 290 rooms and suites including Marco Polo’s signature Continental Club Floor. It will be the Marco Polo’s 5th hotel in China.

Dining options will include Café Marco, a Lobby Lounge, a Chinese restaurant and a Japanese restaurant.

Conference and banquet facilities will include the Marco Polo Ballroom, the Junior Ballroom and seven Function Rooms.

A recreation area will offer guests an outdoor swimming pool, health spa and gymnasium.

Mr Liao Jin Dui of Jinjiang Hongfu Hotel Company Limited, the owning company, added, “We are particularly pleased to have appointed Marco Polo Hotels as our hotel management company. As an Asia-based hotel operator owned by The Wharf (Holdings) Ltd., a prestigious Hong Kong public company, Marco Polo Hotels has the hands-on experience and reputation for quality hotels that will be important to the long-term success of The Marco Polo Jinjiang.”
