Starwood launches Global Summer Promotion

In a week-long wave of special discounts around the globe, Starwood is reducing rates by as much as 50% at nearly 600 participating hotels and resorts in many of the world's most popular destinations.

Among the properties taking part in Starwood's Summer Sale in the United States are Sheraton Kauai with rates from $189 per night, W Times Square with rates from $199 per night and Sheraton Boston Hotel with rates from $139 per night.

Travelers to Asia Pacific can enjoy discounts at properties such as Le Méridien Bangalore with rates from $107, the W Hong Kong with rates from $219 and Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo with rates from $120.

And those headed to Mexico will find especially attractive deals at Le Méridien Cancun Resort & Spa with rates from $92 and St. Regis Punta Mita offering rates from $239.

Travelers must book by July 20 to save on stays from July 16 through October 12, 2009.
