The Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed Mark
Losi General Manager of the Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore and Ian
Ekers as General Manager of the Parkroyal on Kitchener, Singapore.
A hotelier with a wealth of experience and
successful track record, Mark Losi spent the last six years as General
Manager of Parkroyal Penang, also managed by Pan Pacific Hotels
Group.
In his new appointment at Pan Pacific Orchard, Mark will
oversee the 20-storey, 206-room hotel in the heart of the
commercial, retail, dining and entertainment enclave of Orchard
Road. Opened in February 2008, Pan Pacific Orchard is the brands
second hotel in Singapore.
Mark has extensive experience across various
functions in the hospitality industry. Embarking on his career in
1983, Mark has progressed through a variety of rooms
division-related appointments in cities that span Brisbane,
Sydney, Ipoh, Penang, and now, Singapore.
A highly experienced hotelier whose previous experience spans
successful terms at Raffles the Plaza (now Fairmont Singapore),
Ritz-Carlton, and Shangri-La, Ian Ekers, in his new appointment will
oversee operations at the 534-room Parkroyal on Kitchener.
Ian returns to Singapore after close to three years as
Resident Manager at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia. There, he developed new products and services for a
differentiated experience at the resort hotel. This included the
resorts new executive The Club floor, as well new F&B offering
Ministry of Sound, which opened in July 2008.
As Executive
Assistant Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Sharm El Sheikh in
Egypt, he was part of the team tasked with opening the groups
first hotel in Africa. Ian also played a key role in the opening
of The Ritz-Carlton Millennia Singapore in the 90s.
