Etihad Airways launches Miles Promotion

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 1 April 2009

Etihad Airways is offering members of its Etihad Guest programme the chance to fly in its premium cabins for half the regular miles in April and May.

The special promotion gives Etihad Guest members 50% off the normal mileage value when they spend their miles for seats in business and first class cabins.

Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ chief commercial officer, said, “This promotion offers our Etihad Guest members the opportunity to experience our first and business class cabins, which are among the best in the airline industry, for only half the number of miles they would normally need.

“We are very proud of the Etihad Guest programme and continue to develop fantastic special offers for our members. This promotion also gives members a chance to sample our hugely popular ‘inspired service’ using the miles they have collected through their travel.”

Etihad’s premium cabins offer customers fully-flat beds in both first and business class as well as more than 600 hours of on-demand entertainment provided via individual wide-screen video screens, operated by touch-screen technology.

Passengers can also dine at their leisure with a restaurant-style a la carte fine dining menu and the any-time kitchen menu which is available throughout the flight.
