Tony Romer-Lee has been appointed as General Manager of the newly opened One&Only Cape Town following the departure of Gérard Sintès. In his role, Tony will oversee all operations and will report directly to Paul Jones, President One&Only Resorts.

London born Romer-Lee joins One&Only’s newest resort after almost three years as Senior General Manager at Singita’s Sabi Sand Game Reserve. He began his foray into the industry at Thames Valley University in the United Kingdom where he studied hospitality and after making the move to South Africa, he spent five years as General Manager of the Cape Grace in Cape Town, where he was widely recognized for his strong leadership and forward-thinking management skills.

Joining Tony at One&Only Cape Town will be Resort Manager Auric Zander, who most recently held the position of General Manager at the world renowned Le Quartier Français in Franschhoek.

Cape Town-born Zander spent several years of working life in the mining industry and civil engineering before relocating to Australia where he worked for Peppers Retreats including The Peppers Fairmont Resort in New South Wales’ Blue Mountains region. Prior to taking up his position in Franschhoek, Auric went on to gain experience in hotel operations at the Four Seasons Hyde Park in London and Arlington Lodge in Waterford, Ireland.
