The Cut Golf Course at Port Bouvard in Western Australia now offering Deluxe Villa Accommodation

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Friday, 7 November 2008

The Cut Golf Course at Port Bouvard, near Mandurah in Western Australia, recently opened 12 luxurious three and four bedroom villas.

Each villa at The Links at The Cut provides easy access to the world renowned The Cut Golf Course with guests able to unwind with 18 holes, all while taking in the spectacular ocean views.

All villas sleep between six and eight people and have a huge lock-up garage that will fit two large vehicles. Guests can relax by the communal entertainment area which includes a cabana and in-ground pool and spa, take a walk along the beach, stroll the many trails or simply enjoy the first class bar and restaurant facilities.

Port Bouvard Managing Director Ross Neumann believes offering 5-star accommodation was a natural extension to the development of The Cut.

“The perfect location demands luxurious accommodation,” Mr Neumann said. “Ocean views, international standard golf course, dining and outstanding function facilities make The Cut a popular destination. Deluxe villa accommodation now completes the picture.”

Since opening in 2004 The Cut Golf Course has quickly forged a reputation of one of the leading golf courses in Australia. In the past three years the course has been ranked inside the top 10 golf courses in Australia and in 2008 Australian Golf Digest rated the course Western Australia’s best.

For the past two years The Cut, which has more than half of the holes overlooking the Indian Ocean or the Dawesville Cut., has hosted the WAPGA Tournament – one of the countries leading golf tournaments. This year’s event was won by leading tour professional Michael Long.

The Cut offers a tough links course set high in majestic ocean-front dunes with views along the coast from 14 fairways. Its’ unique and tranquil location is offset by a large number of tee positions on each hole, which provide all the challenges and rewards of a true links experience to golfers of any ability.

While well known nationally for its golf facilities The Cut also caters for weddings, anniversaries, celebrations and a myriad of events with its quality function facilities.

“If you are planning a group golfing tour throughout Western Australia’s best courses, or a simple getaway with friends or loved ones, The Links at The Cut is the place to be,” Mr Neumann said. “Concerts, golf and corporate tournaments also make the most of our State’s great outdoors and panoramic ocean views.”

Located within walking distance to Mandurah's most popular beach, visitors to The Cut are able to enjoy other activities such as fishing, crabbing and walking. Only a short drive away, guests will find Mandurah City with a multitude of entertainment, shopping and dining facilities.
