AIME 2009 has opened applications for Hosted Buyers. AIME 2009 will be held on 17 and 18 February at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Australia. Organisers, Reed Travel Exhibitions, expect to attract more than 850 exhibitors from 50 countries and more than 500 hosted buyers from 30 countries.

Hosted buyers select 22 appointments with exhibitors over two days. After computer matching of hosted buyer and exhibitor appointment preferences, appointments can be viewed using AIME’s 2-way online diary, and buyers and exhibitors can then select more appointments should they wish.

All international and interstate buyers who qualify for the AIME Hosted Buyer Program will receive airfares, airport transfers, accommodation, entry to AIME 2009, entry to the Business Events Forum, the AIME Welcome Reception and exclusive access to the Hosted Buyer Lounge at AIME.

Local buyers can also apply for the program and will receive all benefits except airfares and accommodation.

Buyers who register and qualify for the AIME Hosted Buyer Program by 17 October will also receive a special AIME gift.

New initiatives for AIME 2009 include a special Master Class for buyers only on Wednesday morning, 18 February, more options for pre and post touring, and a dedicated e-newsletter.

“In two days AIME provides direct access to 850 industry suppliers from 50 countries. It is the most cost efficient and timely way to source destinations, products and services. In addition, AIME provides a true learning experience through its Business Events Forum and networking functions,” said Elizabeth Sarian, AIME’s acting event manager.

People who wish to participate in the Hosted Buyer Program can apply online at the AIME website aime.com.au.
