Absolute Hotel Services signs New U Hotel in Khao Yai, Thailand

Thailand-based Absolute Hotel Services has signed the second hotel under its U Hotels & Resorts brand. The U Khao Yai which is due to open in late 2010 follows the U Chiang Mai which opened its doors in June 2008 as the first hotel of the U brand.

The U Khao Yai is located just a two hours drive from Bangkok, off the Wang Nam Kiew Road and will be set on 6 rai of land with-in a total land area of close to 1000 rai.

The resort will consist of 76 rooms and suites with a farmhouse styled restaurant and wine bar. Other facilities within the resort will include a U Spa, reading room and fitness centre. There will also be intimate meeting and event spaces tailored to special occasions and retreat meetings.

The overall design will be influenced by the Cape farmhouses of the South African wine country. U Khao Yai will offer services such as 24 hours use of room from arrival, breakfast whenever/wherever, free Wi-Fi and more. U Khao Yai will be the anchor of a low density development which will also include residential housing.

“U Khao Yai will be another unique resort for this upcoming destination in terms of ambiance and service delivery. We, together with the project’s development team, have spent many months conducting research so to develop a unique concept of architecture and design elements to fit in with the destination as well as the brand. We have worked closely with the architect and interior designer teams to develop a concept which is relevant and unique taking into consideration the natural beauty of Thailand’s wine country,” said Mr. Jonathan Wigley, CEO of Absolute Hotel Services Co., Ltd.
