Tiger Airways appoints Soh Keng Taan as Chief Information Officer

Tiger Airways has appointed Soh Keng Taan as Chief Information Officer. Keng Taan will plan and deliver Tiger Airways IT vision and strategic agenda for the region to meet the carriers info-communications needs for its rapid route network expansion and business growth.

Keng Taan is responsible for taking the companys IT systems and capabilities, infrastructure and IT support services to the next level across the Asia Pacific region. Keng Taan will also oversee all aspects of supplier / customer contacts, ensuring the financial viability of IT in line with Tigers LCC business model.

Tiger Aviation CEO and President Tony Davis said, "With Tiger Airways strategic positioning as an online retailer, it is vital that we keep abreast of the rapidly evolving IT landscape. Keng Taan's regional expertise will add value to Tiger Airways IT security, hardware and software procurement and upgrades, as well as business integration and knowledge management."

Keng Taan has a total of 17 years of Information System experience with the last 10 years at international integrated energy company ConocoPhillips, where he managed the establishment of global and regional IS strategies applicable across all regional business units. Keng Taan graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science under a Public Social Commission (PSC) Scholarship. He is 41 years old.
