Polynesian Blue celebrates 3rd Birthday with Special Fares Promotion

Polynesian Blue is celebrating its 3rd birthday with a Birthday Surprise Sale for flights between Apia and New Zealand and Australia.

The airline, a joint venture between Virgin Blue Airlines and the Government of Samoa, touched down in Apia for the first time in 2005 and has gone from strength to strength, this year announcing an annual profit more than NZ$9 million.

In the three years the airline’s been operating government figures show that holiday arrivals from Australia and New Zealand to Samoa have grown by more than 50%.

To celebrate its success Polynesian Blue has the following birthday sale fares available from today:

Apia to Auckland: WST$99 (One-way on the net plus WST$10 credit card fee. Excludes taxes and charge of WST$123.21. WST$15 more by phone.)

Auckland to Apia: NZ$123 (One-way on the net plus NZ$4 credit card fee. Includes taxes and charges. NZ$15 more by phone.)

Apia to Sydney: WST$123 (One-way on the net plus WST$10 credit card fee. Excludes taxes and charge of WST$146.70. WST$15 more by phone.)

Sydney to Apia: AU$123 (One-way on the net plus AU$5 credit card fee. Includes taxes and charges. AU$15 more by phone.)

Apia to Brisbane: WST$123 (One-way on the net plus WST$10 credit card fee. Excludes taxes and charge of WST$129.70. WST$15 more by phone.)

Brisbane to Apia: AU$123 (One-way on the net plus AU$5 credit card fee. Includes taxes and charges. AU$15 more by phone.)

The 1,000 birthday sale fares will be split between the six routes and are on sale from today (Thursday, 30 October) until midnight tomorrow (Friday, 31 October), or until sold out.

Travel is available from 2 Feb 2009 to 31 March 2009.

Polynesian Blue flies between Apia and Auckland seven times a week and between Apia and Sydney three times a week. The airline commences one return service a week from Apia to Brisbane from 1 December 2008.
