As its March 2009 opening approaches, Capella Singapore has called upon the
leadership of Michael Luible to serve as General Manager of the luxury hotel, which will be the Asian flagship for Capella Hotels and Resorts.
For the past six years, Michael has been an integral part of Kerzner Internationals leadership team, most recently serving as
Regional Director of One & Only Indian Ocean, where he was responsible for the overall performance of One & Only Le Saint Geran, One & Only Kanuhura and One &
Only Reethi Rah.
During his tenure, he also served as
Senior General Manager of One & Only Maldives and General Manager of One & Only
Reethi Rah. Michaels experience also includes a post as General
Manager of Raffles Hotel Singapore and as
General Manager and Resident Manager of Le Touessrok Hotel Mauritius.
Originally from Germany, Michael attended school in Augsburg, Germany, where he received a degree as a restaurant expert. He is fluent in
German and English, and well-versed in French, and lives in Singapore with his wife.

Ixtapa (Ixtapa, Mexico); Capella Niseko (Niseko, Japan); Capella Pedregal (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico); Capella Singapore (Sentosa Island,
Singapore); Capella Telluride (Telluride, Colorado); and Schloss Velden, a Capella Hotel (Velden, Austria).
Capella
Singapore on Sentosa Island will be the flagship property for Capella Hotels and Resorts in Asia.
The hotel will feature 111 guestrooms include 61 deluxe guest rooms, 11 suites, 38 garden villas that feature private outdoor showers and bathtubs and a presidential manor. In addition, Capella Singapore will offer the
opportunity to live in the hotel for extended stays with full access to the hotels facilities. These extended stay offerings will include 72
sea-facing suites and duplexes, nine manors with private pools and one colonial manor.
Additionally, guests can enjoy a range of activities for relaxation or business: Cassia, a fine-dining Chinese restaurant, The Knolls all-day dining
restaurant and Bobs Bar; an Auriga Spa and Fitness Centre; three meeting rooms; a business centre with two boardrooms, a signature Capella
Club Lounge, three cascading outdoor pools and a world-class sculpture garden.
