As its March 2009 opening approaches, Capella Singapore has called upon the leadership of Michael Luible to serve as General Manager of the luxury hotel, which will be the Asian flagship for Capella Hotels and Resorts.

For the past six years, Michael has been an integral part of Kerzner Internationals leadership team, most recently serving as Regional Director of One & Only Indian Ocean, where he was responsible for the overall performance of One & Only Le Saint Geran, One & Only Kanuhura and One & Only Reethi Rah.

During his tenure, he also served as Senior General Manager of One & Only Maldives and General Manager of One & Only Reethi Rah. Michaels experience also includes a post as General Manager of Raffles Hotel Singapore and as General Manager and Resident Manager of Le Touessrok Hotel Mauritius.

Bringing more than 20 years of high-end hospitality experience to the Sentosa Island hotel, Luibles track record of successfully opening, managing and positioning world-class destinations will prove invaluable as Capella Singapore nears its debut, said Bob Warman, executive vice president and COO, Capella Hotels and Resorts.

Capella Singapore on Sentosa Island will be the flagship property for Capella Hotels and Resorts in Asia. The hotel will feature 111 guestrooms include 61 deluxe guest rooms, 11 suites, 38 garden villas that feature private outdoor showers and bathtubs and a presidential manor. In addition, Capella Singapore will offer the opportunity to live in the hotel for extended stays with full access to the hotels facilities. These extended stay offerings will include 72 sea-facing suites and duplexes, nine manors with private pools and one colonial manor.

Additionally, guests can enjoy a range of activities for relaxation or business: Cassia, a fine-dining Chinese restaurant, The Knolls all-day dining restaurant and Bobs Bar; an Auriga Spa and Fitness Centre; three meeting rooms; a business centre with two boardrooms, a signature Capella Club Lounge, three cascading outdoor pools and a world-class sculpture garden.
