GM and DOS appointments at Marriott Executive Apartments in Bahrain

Hossein Garan has been appointed General Manager of the Marriott Executive Apartments in Bahrain.

Garan's international hospitality experience includes an extensive knowledge in hotel management including Rooms Operations, Food and Beverage as well as Sales and Marketing. Garan has demonstrated achievements in project management, sales and training and has been noted for creative leadership by improving product and services while growing sales profit.

"I am very excited and honoured to have been given the opportunity to be a part of opening team of the Marriott Executive Apartments brand as it enters the Bahrain market," said Garan. "We intend to set new levels of hospitality standards and service with the opening of Marriott Executive Apartments in the Kingdom."

Garan boasts over 27 years of international experience in the luxury hospitality industry and has worked with major chains in the United States including Grand Hyatt and Waldorf Astoria in New York. He has been working with Marriott International for 21 years. Most recently Garan was the Director of Operations in JW Marriott Kuwait prior to joining the team at Marriott Executive Apartments, Bahrain.

The Marriott Executive Apartments in Bahrain also recently appointed Marwan Haddad as Director of Sales

Haddad is in charge of the sales and event teams reporting directly to the General Manager. As the head of the sales management team, Haddad is responsible to develop, implement hotel-wide strategies and deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the hotel guests and employees. He is also responsible for achieving revenue goals, guest and employee satisfaction targets and the financial performance of the department.

Having finished his master’s degree in France, Haddad is determined and committed professional, benefiting from a first class hospitality career with Marriott International. With proven track record of six years experience gained in the events, sales and marketing field in a multicultural environment, Haddad’s strong level of communication and negotiation skills has been an effective medium as he brings along knowledge of local corporate market as well as the Middle East market.

Haddad previously worked at Courtyard by Marriott Dubai Green Community as Sr. Sales Manager before his move to head the sales team of Marriott Executive Apartments, Bahrain.
