Thai Airways International’s Ground Customer Services Department has been officially awarded ISO 14001 certification for its work to help protect the environment.

The ISO 14001 standard has been applied to THAI’s environmental policy, which determines the impact of the company’s products, activities and services on the environment.

THAI employs such management techniques to systematically reduce the impact on the environment of its operations under the airline’s control. The company’s office supplies management and staff are all encouraged to preserve energy, including employing energy substitution techniques where possible.

The ISO 14001 standard has been implemented as part of THAI’s environmental policy since 2000. The company has also received ISO 14001 certification for other departments such as Head Office, Laksi Office, Lanluang Office, the Technical Department and Operation Centre and the Ground Customer Services Department.
