Carlson Hotels to manage New Radisson Hotel in Hyderabad

Carlson Hotels has signed a deal to manage a new hotel in Hyderabad, the capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh and the fifth largest city in India.

Radisson Plaza Hotel Hyderabad Banjara Hills, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2010, will be located towards the west of the city, within close proximity to the main tourist attractions, railway station and international airport. The 160-room hotel is owned by India's Daaj Hotels & Resorts Pvt Ltd.

Known for its rich history and cultural heritage and as 'The City of Nizams', Hyderabad is one of the most developed cities in India and a fast growing hub for information technology, biotechnology and outsourcing services.

"Hyderabad is India's key commercial and tourism centre. The Radisson Plaza Hotel Hyderabad Banjara Hills will be a spectacular property, well positioned to satisfy demand from the increasing number of travellers visiting this exciting city," said Martin Rinck, President and Managing Director, Carlson Hotels Worldwide - Asia Pacific.

Radisson Plaza Hotel Hyderabad Banjara Hills will have conferencing facilities with the latest in audio-visual equipment, a fully equipped business centre, wireless internet access as well as a health club and spa.
