Air Arabia to launch Flights to Nairobi, Kenya

Sharjah-based low cost airline Air Arabia, is to launch flights to Nairobi, Kenya, beginning October 26, 2008. Flights will initially operate four times per week between Nairobi and Air Arabias hub in Sharjah.

The airline will fly to Nairobi on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing Sharjah at 9:40am and arriving at Nairobi at 13:50. Return flights will depart Nairobi at 14:35 and arrive in Sharjah at 20:40. Nairobi will be Air Arabias first destination in Kenya, fourth in Africa and 42nd worldwide.

AK Nizar, Head of Commercial Department, Air Arabia said, "We currently offer one of the most comprehensive destination networks in the Middle East and North Africa, and the opening of our newest destination in Nairobi  reflects our commitment to expand into new regions. The new route is reflective of Air Arabias commitment toward African expatriate communities in the UAE and the wider Gulf region by providing them with the best value for money service to key destinations."

Nairobi is the political, financial and touristic capital of Kenya and is East Africas most populous city.
