Legendale Hotel Beijing joins Preferred Hotels & Resorts

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Friday, 17 October 2008

The Legendale Hotel Beijing has joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts.

Occupying a prime position in the heart of town, the 390-room hotel is ideally located to make the most of both old and new Beijing. Adjoining 79 opulent serviced apartments as well as 126 private residential apartments, the property is a short walk from world-class shopping precincts such as Wangfujing and Oriental Plaza. In pleasant contrast, the Legendale Hotel is surrounded by some of Beijing's best preserved hutong alleyways, brimming with color and activity. A number of China's most significant landmarks and historical sites are within walking distance of the hotel, including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Drum and Bell Towers.

Inspired by the palatial architecture of Southern Europe, the hotel's exterior is reminiscent of a 19th century Parisian building with its multiple-domed roof peaked with decorative turrets. Imported antique furniture from Europe, rich fabrics, opulent decorations and lush landscaping creates a true neo-classical ambiance. The breathtaking lobby features an atrium towering 17th storey high and a unique antique fireplace of the 19th century.

Dining and entertainment venues include an exclusive Portuguese restaurant serving impeccable Macanese and Portuguese cuisine, a French fine dining restaurant, an all-day dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a Lobby lounge and a bar.

Recreational facilities include a state-of-the-art gymnasium and indoor swimming pool with natural daylight and greenery.

Karman Yeung, President of The Legendale Hotel Beijing, said, "With their exceptional collection of hotels worldwide, Preferred Hotels & Resorts is the ideal brand to represent Legendale Hotel Beijing. Offering wide ranging marketing tools, booking technology, and global network of sales teams, we are confident that the alliance will provide us with the exposure and sales efforts globally."
