Asia
Pacific based global travel management company, FCm Travel Solutions, has
opened a new sales and account management office in Singapore.
The new office forms part of FCm's drive to increase business development
and account management resources in the South East Asia region, building on
the group's steady growth and success across the region.
The
office will be led by regional account manager, Mr Stephan van Arnhem, and
regional director of sales, Cailin Keaney.
Mr van Arnhem's role will include managing key accounts, maximising business
opportunities, and working closely with FCm's country account managers across Asia. He has more than five years' experience in account management
with FCm and its parent company, Flight Centre Limited, and 15 years' experience with other global and local travel companies in various parts of
the world.
Ms Keaney will be responsible for identifying and building new business for
FCm across the region. She has been in business development, sales and marketing roles with FCm since early 2006, and also has five years'
experience in sales, marketing and event management within the hospitality
sector.
FCm's global executive general manager, Anthony Grigson, said the company
was pursuing a substantial amount of potential business in its Asian regional pipeline, as well as a growing number of clients headquartered out
of Singapore.
"The entire Asian region continues to offer many growth opportunities for
FCm, and creating a sales and service team based in Singapore will
strengthen our presence in what is a strategic market for regional business," Mr Grigson said.
"We anticipate that around 60% of the travel volume transacted by
our Singapore office will come from Singapore, while the balance will originate from countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the
Philippines.
"The Singapore team will enable FCm to provide more active management of the
regional network and client base, and help ensure service consistency for
regional clients. It will also allow us to create more local and regional
business opportunities with multinational clients already being serviced by
FCm in other parts of the world."
