Who will be the biggest outbound travel consumer groups in Asia in 2012?
Euromonitor International will identify emerging consumer groups offering the best opportunities for tourism revenues in the next five
years at the Travel
Distribution Summit Asia which will take place in Singapore on 18 -
19 March, 2008.
According to Euromonitor International, marked shifts in demographics and fast-changing consumer demands mean that some consumer
segments are still untapped and can offer more growth opportunity than others in Asia’s outbound travel boom.
For instance, China's one-child policy has resulted in a generation of cosseted children and twenty-somethings, making this group a
potentially dynamic market in the short-to mid-term. In Japan, its not only baby boomers but also 35-44 year-old females, predicted to
emerge in the spotlight as a lucrative segment. This group offers particularly high revenue opportunities for outbound business and luxury
travel. India’s younger generation of under 35s make up a staggering 65% of the total population, presenting a huge and untapped source
market for travel players.
At the Travel Distribution Summit workshop, Parita
Chitakasem, Travel & Tourism account manager at the Euromonitor International
Singapore office will identify the untapped consumer groups which exist in Asia, and will highlight the most lucrative segments which could
offer your business huge growth potential in the mid-to long term. Read

Distribution Summit Asia.
