Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Friday, 11 January  2008

Sherilyn Robinson has been appointed Sales and Marketing Manager, Australia, for Hawaiian Airlines, commencing in Sydney on 4 February.

Ms Robinson was previously Director of Sales for Captain Cook Cruises, a role she has held since 2004.

Prior to this, Ms Robinson's travel industry roles included National Sales and Marketing Manager, Australia, for Air Pacific, International Sales Manager for Concorde Inbound and Account Manager, Australia and New Zealand, for Americantours International Inc, based in Los Angeles.

Mr Dan Burruss, Senior Director, International and Alliances for Hawaiian Airlines, said Hawaii was now one of the top international holiday destinations for Australian travellers, with many combining a Hawaiian holiday with a visit to the US mainland.

"Not only do we offer nonstop service from Sydney to Honolulu, and onward flights to the neighbour islands of Maui, Kauai and the big Island of Hawaii - we also offer one-stop service from Australia to nine mainland destinations including Las Vegas, San Diego and Seattle," said Mr Burruss.

Hawaiian Airlines offers three weekly Boeing 767-300ER flights from Sydney to Honolulu, departing every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evening, crossing the international dateline, and arriving in Honolulu late the same morning, enabling travellers to be on world-famous Waikiki Beach by early afternoon or to make same day  flight connections to the neighbour islands or nine cities on the US mainland.

Through a partnership with Virgin Blue, Hawaiian also offers same day connections to Hawaii from 16 destinations throughout Australia.
