Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 10 September 2008

Customers traveling in Economy Class on Delta Air Lines’ domestic flights to or from its hub at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport for a limited time can enjoy a discounted one-way fare of $45 for US Helicopter Airport Shuttle Service. Taxes, fees and certain restrictions apply to the rate.

This promotional offer is valid for tickets purchased after September 1 for travel through October 31, 2008 and represents savings off the published fare of $159. Complimentary US Helicopter service between JFK and Manhattan is available year-round to Delta BusinessElite customers.

Delta’s on-the-go travelers enjoy benefits from US Helicopter service including:

Eight-minute travel time between New York City Heliports in Midtown and Downtown Manhattan and JFK, with flights operating 27 times daily;

Federally regulated TSA security clearance at NYC Heliports before arriving at JFK for departing flights;

customers land inside the secure area of JFK, which means TSA security screening is not required again at the airport;

Convenient check-in and boarding passes to final destinations (for both domestic and international travelers departing from and arriving in Manhattan);

and Baggage check to final destination (for passengers traveling to and from Manhattan).

US Helicopter operates 27 daily flights, Monday through Friday, connecting the Downtown Manhattan Heliport near Wall Street and the East 34th Street Heliport in Midtown Manhattan with Delta’s Terminal 3, Gate 11 at JFK.
