The LAN Service Alliance carriers have introduced the new Business Express Class for flights within South America, making the member
carriers the first in the region to offer the product for flights between Lima to Quito, Bogot, and Caracas.
The carriers plan to extend the service to the rest of the short-haul flights operated in South America during the upcoming year.
Following the model presented by European companies for their continental short-haul flights, the new Business Express offers a service to
meet the needs of passengers travelling for business on flights of four hours or less.
To save time for customers, Business Express offers preferential check-in service at the counter or through LAN.com, access to a VIP salon,
and preferential flight boarding, exit and baggage retrieval.
All of this is offered
with the flexibility to make date, time and flight changes when necessary up to two hours prior to
departure.
LANs new Airbus A320 family of aircraft is being redesigned to offer exclusive space and attention for a maximum of 12 passengers in its
new Business Express cabin, where passengers can enjoy approximately 50% more space than in Economy class.
