Hong Kong Express Airways resumes Flights to Nanjing

Travel News Asia Wednesday, 18 July 2007

Hong Kong Express Airways has reinstated its scheduled service to the capital of mainland China’s Jiangsu province, Nanjing.

The airline will offer flights between the two cities three times each week with departures from Hong Kong every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday afternoon and returning from Nanjing every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday evening. The airline will use its new B737-800 aircraft on the route configured to accommodate a total of 164 passengers in two classes, 156 in Economy Class and 8 in Business Class.

Located on the lower reaches of the Yangtze, Nanjing is one of Eastern China’s key industrial bases thanks to its positioning as a transportation and communications hub. Increasingly attracting foreign investment, this former capital of Imperial China is fast developing into one of China’s most recognisable international cities.

This week the airline will also launch an additional new route between Hong Kong and Guiyang, the capital of southwestern China’s Guizhou province.
