Beijing’s Loong Palace Hotel & Resort Expands with 350 Room New Wing

Travel News Asia Thursday, 15 March 2007

WORLDHOTELS’ Deluxe Collection member Loong Palace Hotel & Resort, a 5-star hotel in northern Beijing, has expanded its inventory by 350 rooms with the opening of a new wing.

The extension opens as Beijing prepares for a huge influx of visitors for next year’s Olympic Games in the Chinese capital.

With the new South Wing the hotel now has a total of 940 rooms. The new wing also incorporates a new lifestyle spa, My Spa, which opens in April with 19 differently styled treatment rooms and suites.

The wing also accommodates two new ballrooms, state-of-the-art meeting facilities and new concept restaurants.

“With the new extension of the Loong Palace our room count now for Beijing has now jumped to 3,500 rooms. This together with the 2,700 rooms we now offer in Shanghai makes WORLDHOTELS effectively one of the largest international hotel groups in these two key destinations and prepares us well for the surge in demand which both the 2008 Olympics and World Expo 2010 represent,” said Roland Jegge, Vice President Asia Pacific for WORLDHOTELS.
