Starwood opens New Beach Resort in Shenzhen - Sheraton Dameisha Resort

The Sheraton Dameisha Resort, an international beach resort in Shenzhen, China has opened for business.

The upscale resort, with 390 rooms and suites (which 368 rooms in resort main building and 22 rooms in villas) all offering views of the South China Sea, is positioned as the upcoming icon of Dameisha Beach, on the eastern shores of the world-renowned Shenzhen city.

The opening of Sheraton Dameisha Resort strengthens Starwood's presence in Shenzhen, where there are currently two other Starwood hotels in operation - Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhen and Sheraton Shenzhen Futian Hotel, both of which are located in the Futian district.

The resort enjoys an exclusive 500-meter pristine golden sand beach frontage while the curvy waves of the resort's unique architecture mirror the ocean's waves. The resort is only 30 kilometers away from the heart of Shenzhen's central business district.

Rooms are 50 sqm in size while suites range from 95sqm to 400sqm, all guest rooms and suites feature a ocean-facing balcony or terrace and are equipped with the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, 37-inch flat-screen LCD television, high speed internet, separate bath tub and rainforest shower.

The resort also features six dining outlets offering international favorites and local delicacies. Capri serves authentic Italian cuisine complemented with an extensive bar. Dragon Court offers Cantonese delicacies as well as 11 private rooms. Feast is the resort's all-day dining outlet while the lobby lounge and the pool bar provide additional dining options. Other facilities include a fully equipped fitness center, an internationally managed spa, tennis court, kids club, a non-motorized water sports center and more water fun at the extensive swimming pools.

The resort boasts 2165sqm of meetings and function space, comprising a grand ballroom, nine function rooms and a spacious pre-function area. Many of the function rooms have ocean view, with natural daylight and direct access to ocean-facing balconies.

Dameisha is an idyllic cove, facing the South China Sea and protected by mountains on three sides. It features pristine white beach, which is fast becoming a popular holiday destination in China. The city centre is half an hour away while it is an hour's drive from either the Shenzhen International Airport or the famed Mission Hills Golf Club.
