Six Senses Resorts & Spas will see 2007 as
one of its most significant years of development as it prepares to open two Evason
Hideaways, plus launch its first destination spa as an extension of its acclaimed Six Senses Spas.
Evason Hideaway at Zighy Bay -
Oman, opens
September 2007.
Located on the
Mussandam Peninsula, the resort is around a 90-minute drive from the gateway city of Dubai. The dramatic setting, with
mountains on one side and a 1.6 kilometres white sand beach at Zighy Bay, on the other, hosts 82 pool villas, pool villa
suites and pool duplexes, including the three-bedroom Retreat – all with butler service. Several villas offer personal
spa suites, and ten villas have accommodations for live-in staff.
The
Evason Hideaway at Zighy Bay offers three dining alternatives
include a stunning dinner experience perched high atop the mountains overlooking Zighy Bay. There is
also an impressive
wine cellar and a private marina.
The Six Senses Spa offers nine treatment rooms features 2 Arabian Hamams. In addition to the 82 private pools, the
resort also boasts a large central swimming pool plus a fully-equipped gymnasium.
Evason Hideaway at Yao Noi –
Thailand,
is expected to open September 2007. Access is by a 40-minute boat trip from Phuket or 10
minutes in the resort’s own helicopter.
Comprising just 56 pool villas in three styles, including the 3-bedroom Reserve and the 2-bedroom Retreat, the resort
is set in natural vegetation enhanced with tropical landscaping, which provides privacy between the villas. Several
villas offer personal spa suites, and all are served by pool villa butlers.
Several dining options offer inspired world cuisine, with tandoori and wood-fired ovens and an open grill, together with
Mediterranean dishes and an authentic taste of Thailand - complete with noodle bar. There’s a dramatic glassed-in
duplex wine cellar, a chef’s table and a close at hand organic vegetable garden for the freshest salads.
Skilled therapists of the Six Senses Spa create sensory journeys for guests, with a range of holistic wellness and
pampering treatments. The spa focuses into the lush forested hillside and is styled after an Asian long-house.

Six Senses Erawan – A Destination Spa at Phuket - Thailand, Opens November
2007. Six Senses Spas has teamed with
Thai property developer - Erawan Group, to create the premier destination spa of the 21st century. It is located on the
island of Naka Yai, which is a 10-minutes by boat from Phuket. Named: Six Senses Erawan – A Destination Spa at
Phuket, the development offers world-class innovative experiences that combine the island’s pristine natural beauty
with cutting edge holistic and contemporary treatments. Multi day programmes will transform guest’s lifestyles through
complete immersion into healthy and mindful living.
Six Senses Erawan will feature four spa concepts, focusing on Chinese, Indian, Indonesian and Thai inspired
treatments. Chinese treatments include Jin Shin Jyutsu, Chi Neit Tsang and traditional medicine. The Indian pavilion
offers colonic therapy, energy healing and Ayurvedic treatments. A Thai Massage school provides guests the
opportunity to learn the traditional art of the world renowned therapy. The Indonesian section features outdoor water
therapies set amidst waterfalls. It also features a watsu pool in a jungle setting – for individuals and couples.
Supporting the spa, Six Senses Erawan offers 68 Pool Villas and Suites. Every villa has breathtaking ocean views
which can be enjoyed from bed and private sala. Villas also have a personal sauna and oversized bathrooms that
extend to an outside garden area.
