JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa adds New Events to Successful Teambuilding Program

Corporate teambuilding programs have been an outstanding success at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa. In addition to existing teambuilding programs including the signature “Survivor Phuket”, five more exciting programs have just been added which are already in high demand.

Teambuilding is a unique way to introduce an educational, fun-filled activity into a conference program and often is the highlight of conferences held at the resort. Participants are required to co-operate and share resources to succeed, which also provides opportunities for building trust, tolerance and understanding that can then be used in both professional and personal situations. JW Marriott Phuket Resort and Spa’s new teambuilding programs include Pirates of the Andaman, Dragon Boat Racing, Jungle Adventure, Grand Prix Race Day, and How to Sail a Racing Yacht and Regattas.

Pirates of the Andaman, is a combination of the most important components in teambuilding; ice breakers, energizers, problem solvers, and lifestyle sessions. Activities in the program include five minute aerobic warm up, ten minute energizers and ice breaking, followed by navigating around the resort finding and enjoying games at different flagged stations. This program is suitable for groups of 10 to 120 people. In addition to the teambuilding program, a special food and beverage’s Pirate theme dinner is also available.

Dragon Boat Racing is a carnival type experience with teams competing against each other for the final prize. The group is transferred to the beach where they are split into equal groups. Each team is allocated a professional Dragon Boat Helm who briefs the team in health and safety and trains them how to operate the dragon boat. Once they are aware of how to use the boat, the game starts. The team race against each other for fun. This unique four- hour teambuilding program is suitable for groups of 10 to 400 people.

Jungle Adventure is a blend of sightseeing and culture with a touch of adventure. The program includes making a trip to the Phang Nga National Park to experience some of the most exciting activities including rafting, elephant trekking, and waterfall trekking or flying fox activity. Jungle Adventure is a full day program, suitable for groups of 10 -100 people.

Grand Prix Race Day provides a unique opportunity to have a healthy competitive half day out with a team. All race organization and placing are done by a professional team at an international certified race circuit. This program is suitable for groups of 5- 30 people.

How to Sail Racing Yacht and Regattas is designed to align the participants and help communication and lateral service within a group. The group is transferred to the beach and briefed by the professional sailing team. After learning the basics of nautical navigation, they go on to the water and learn to sail. Each person will be specifically tasked and they can only sail the boat if all team members are active and attentive. This is a specialized form of teambuilding suitable for all ages and physical abilities.

All programs include a welcome banner, station flags, bandannas for team members, water and cold towels, complimentary digital presentation, trophy, complete with company logo, as well as instructions for each event.
