Amadeus takes steps to ensure airline inventory for travel agents

Travel News Asia 8 March 2006

Amadeus has entered into an agreement with Sabre Holdings that enables Amadeus customers to complete bookings on an airline in the event that airline withdraws from participation in Amadeus. Amadeus will offer the same back-up for Sabre.

The agreement is designed to ensure continued broad and seamless travel agency access to airline inventory and avoid disruptions that might otherwise develop. This will in turn allow travellers that rely on Amadeus travel agents greater access to the range of available travel options.
