New 1,525-room Hotel in Xiamen Opens for Business

The Xianglu GRAND Hotel in Xiamen, one of the largest hotels in China, today celebrates its opening. The hotel has been developed by Xianglu China, an investment company with holdings in petrochemical, and fiber production as well as real estate.

Just a brief 8-minute drive from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, the 1,525-room Xianglu GRAND Hotel is strategically located in the city’s major industrial district in the Huli Zone, and is easily accessible to any of the city’s business, shopping districts and tourism attractions. The hotel's designer is one of Asia’s most famous architects - C. Y. Lee & Partners, who designed the current world’s tallest building – Taipei 101.

Spacious guestrooms and suites ranging from 27 to 274 m2 in size feature well appointed furnishings designed to enhance the rooms’ ergonomics while maintaining a stylish and elegantly modern look. Hotel guests will also be provided the full array of amenities, including broadband internet access/WiFi, data ports and IDD, voice mail, satellite TV, coffee and tea making facilities, large work desk, and 24-hour room service.

The Club at the GRAND, “a hotel within a hotel” is aimed at corporate travelers and features a fully equipped 24-hour lounge. Exclusive privileges, which will present a personalized level of service and convenience, include daily complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails, express check-in and check-out services, free broadband access/WiFi, complimentary use of Club Lounge meeting rooms and more.

The Xianglu GRAND's fleet of restaurants serve up an extensive range from contemporary flavors to traditional favorites, offering a variety of dining and entertainment choices, including a 900-seat Grand Buffet, 3000 m2 Atrium lounge, restaurants featuring Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Taiwanese cuisines, as well as a food court and bar.

The total conference, exhibition and banqueting area of the hotel is 8,967 m2, with two grand ballrooms each accommodating up to 950 guests. This capacity is complemented by twenty-six additional function rooms catering to any number of event requirements with a comprehensive range of modern audio visual equipment, lighting support, and simultaneous translation facilities.
