New wholesaler partners for KEA Campers

Travel News Asia Friday, 31 March 2006

KEA Campers has doubled its network of preferred wholesalers in Australia and New Zealand, giving agents twice the options for sourcing packages incorporating luxurious and reliable rental campervans and motor homes in the market.

As of 1 April, Leisure World Holidays, Travelpoint, NSW Holidays, SA Holidays and Kirra Tours will join Broome and Kimberley Holidays, Discover West Holidays, Driveaway Holidays, Go New Zealand and Territory Discoveries as KEA’s preferred wholesalers.

“These wholesalers will be the best starting point for agents who are interested in selling KEA Camper rentals in Australia and New Zealand. Their knowledge of our product and the destinations we cover is impressive, and I am very happy to welcome our new partners to the KEA family,” said KEA International Sales and Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Richard McKisack.

“Expanding our wholesaler base is a critical step towards servicing the growing amount of domestic business being generated by agents in Australia and New Zealand, and attracting agents that may not have yet considered camper holidays.”

KEA’s range includes two berth campervans and four and six berth motor homes, each an example of the ingenious design, European engineering and luxurious fitouts that has made KEA’s some of the safest and most comfortable rental campers and motorhomes in Australia and New Zealand. KEA also offers two-berth 4WD campers for rental in Australia as well as a fleet of BMW touring motorcycles in New Zealand.

“It is exciting to see that our wholesaler partners are as passionate as we are about camper holidays. Travelling in a motor home or campervan is by far the best way to see Australia and New Zealand – it offers incredible scope for exploring these beautiful countries in complete comfort and security.

“At a time where commission levels across the industry are decreasing, camper holidays represent a potentially lucrative avenue for agents in Australia and New Zealand. For example, a ten-day booking on a six berth motor home in Australia during the easter holidays is valued at A$2500 and our commission structures would ensure an agent booking such a trip through our wholesaler partners would receive a significant share.

“I would encourage any travel agent that is curious about camper touring to contact one of our preferred wholesalers to find out about our vehicles, service and coverage across Australia and New Zealand,” Richard added.
