Virgin Atlantic to offer 'Lucy Garrett Styling' for Upper Class Passengers at Heathrow

Travel News Asia Sunday, 30 April 2006

From 5 May 2006 Virgin Atlantic will be offering personal styling consultations for its Upper Class passengers in its new Clubhouse at Heathrow airport. The service is aimed at helping both men and women with busy lifestyles to find and perfect their individual look. The clinic will run at the Clubhouse until the 29 May, Friday to Monday from 09:30 to 16:30.

Passengers will be able to take advantage of the complimentary consultation, which will include information on the current trends, an evaluation of the passenger’s needs and desires and tips on styles and shapes that will compliment the passenger’s own individual taste. The stylist will also be able to recommend key stores to visit on the main Virgin Atlantic routes worldwide.

A computer based consultation will create a personal style analysis that can be taken away or emailed to the passenger for later reference and they will continue to receive the latest information for every season to keep their wardrobes up to date with the latest fashions. Should they wish, the passengers will also have the opportunity to arrange a more in depth consultation and shopping excursion with the stylist at a later stage.

Steve Ridgway, Chief Executive of Virgin Atlantic said, “I am delighted that we are able to offer this unique service to our Upper Class passengers. We are always undertaking new ways of providing our passengers with an extensive range of luxury services both in the air and on the ground and this new service is a perfect example.

“The airline has already offered a number of clinics in 2006 – the Blackberry and Mind Gym clinics, which have all been very successful and I have no doubt that the Lucy Garrett Styling clinic will be just as popular.”

Virgin Atlantic Airways opened its new £11m flagship business class lounge at Heathrow in March 2006. The Clubhouse, which is over 2,500 square metres in total, has been designed to feel like a private members’ club and has set new standards for the industry with a spa pool, steam room and sauna in the lounge.
