Nanjing’s Lakeview Xuanwu Hotel joins WORLDHOTELS

Travel News Asia Thursday, 27 April 2006

The five star Lakeview Xuanwu Hotel, a premier business hotel in China’s ancient capital of Nanjing, has joined WORLDHOTELS.

Centrally located in the heart of the city’s business and commercial district, adjacent to prosperous Hunan Road and a stone’s throw from the famous Lion’s Bridge Food Street, the hotel has joined WORLDHOTELS as a First Class Collection member.

Despite being in the city’s hub, the Lakeview Xuanwu is named after its parkland location - on the shore of Nanjing’s beautiful Xuanwu Lake, with a spectacular view of the Purple Mountain.

45 minutes drive from Lukuo International Airport and just ten minutes from the city’s central railway station and Nanjing International Exhibition Centre, the hotel is renowned for its international staff and popular “Le Papillon” Chinese Restaurant.

With 150 guest rooms and suites over 20 floors, including executive floors and a business centre, the Lakeview Xuanwu is a popular address for business travellers to Nanjing, which is one of China’s fastest-growing economic zones in the wake of the country’s membership of the World Trade Organization, attracting numerous global pharmaceutical, chemical and ‘new technology’ conglomerates including Bayer and Nokia.

It features all the amenities of a modern international hotel with state of the art technology including an advanced telephone system and high-speed wireless internet throughout, with computers available for guests if needed.

Recreational facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness and health centre, spa, beauty and massage parlours, an indoor pool, sauna and whirlpool, and a 3-kilometre jogging track around the lake.

Apart from its renowned revolving restaurant, with dazzling views, there are another three restaurants and bars.

Popular for meetings and conferences, the hotel has nine business venues including the Xuanwu Ballroom, catering for up to 790 guests.
