Radisson SAS to launch The Diplomat Radisson SAS Residence and Spa in Bahrain

Travel News Asia Thursday, 25 May 2006

Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts is to open what will  be among Bahrain’s most refined corporate apartments in October this year.

The Diplomat Radisson SAS Residence and Spa will be adjacent to the existing 246-room, five-star Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, which is in the heart of Bahrain’s capital, Manama City and close to the country’s main tourist attractions and shopping areas. The luxurious new 14-storey building is also within 10 minutes from Bahrain International Airport and five minutes from the new Financial Harbor and World Trade Center. In addition to luxury apartments, guests will have easy access to all the hotel’s facilities and services including large meeting and conference rooms, a business centre, a health club and some of the Kingdom’s most popular restaurants.

“The Diplomat Radisson SAS Residence and Spa is our second regional apartment venture after the Radisson SAS Royal Suite in Jeddah and our strategy is to ensure that all our brands have very distinctive and individual identities,” said Jean-Marc Busato, Vice President Middle East, Rezidor SAS Hospitality.

“This new five star property will be Bahrain’s most sought after address for those accustomed to luxurious living.”

The Diplomat Radisson SAS Residence will have 121 luxury apartments – a choice of one, two or three bedroom apartments or exclusive penthouse suites - all for lease on yearly contracts or more.

The one and two bedroom apartments have contemporary open plan kitchens with fully integrated appliances. The extremely spacious three and four bedroom apartments have a homely feel with creative use of lighting and the choice of fabrics and furniture.

In addition to stunning views of the Persian Gulf, each apartment will have luxurious furnishings, fixtures and finishes. Hints of the Middle East can be found in the furniture, whilst intricate mosaics and polished Italian marble bring a more classical feel to the kitchens and bathrooms.

“The Diplomat Radisson SAS Residence isn’t just about accommodation – it’s about stylish living. ‘Why stay if you can live’ captures it rightfully in our promotional campaign,” said Radek Cais, General Manager, The Diplomat Radisson SAS Residence and Spa.

“Five star services will make life as convenient and as comfortable as possible for our residents. These include state-of-the-art in room entertainment, 24-hour room service, high speed internet connection, a baby sitting service, full housekeeping, next generation security, valet parking in our private underground car park and a shopping porter.”

Residents will also receive complimentary membership of The Diplomat Spa. Developed in conjunction with experts from the Far East, the dedicated spa is the second to be housed in a luxury hotel in Bahrain and has a range of unique facilities including a separate male spa and ladies only indoor pool. Other facilities include 12 ladies treatment rooms, seven men’s treatment rooms, five pools – two of them outdoors, a 280 square metre feature lagoon pool, state-of-the-art male and female gymnasiums, sophisticated steam and sauna rooms, jacuzzi and cold pool facilities, an outdoor tennis court and two indoor squash courts.

Guests and residents can also enjoy a range of high quality treatments including facial, body and foot care packages. The Diplomat Spa will also have electrotherapy or medi-cosmetics treatments including anti-wrinkle and uplifting facial courses and slimming and anti cellulite body procedures.
