Dragonair launches 'Let's Meet in Hong Kong' Promotion

Travel News Asia Friday, 19 May 2006

Dragonair has launched a “Let’s Meet in Hong Kong”, campaign designed to bring friends, family or business partners in the China Mainland and Taiwan together in the airline’s home city, with return air tickets for three people starting from just HK$4,699.

“Hong Kong is one of the meeting hubs of the region, given its location and the convenient air connections,” said Titus Diu, Dragonair’s General Manager, Revenue Management and Distribution. “The ‘Let’s Meet in Hong Kong’ campaign builds on this theme, encouraging people to invite up to nine of their friends, relatives and business partners from the China Mainland and Taiwan to come to Hong Kong for a few days, to catch up, enjoy some great dining, shop and to generally experience the city.

“The added incentive is that the fares are extremely attractively priced, and are valid for travel from any of the 19 Mainland cities we fly from as well as the two cities we serve in Taiwan.”

Between three and nine friends can take advantage of the special “Let’s Meet in Hong Kong” air fares at the same time, with travel to and from Hong Kong from their respective cities taking place on the same day, or the nearest available day in selected cities. A minimum of two cities must be included to take advantage of the offer.

Return Economy Class air ticket prices range from HK$4,699 for three people up to HK$10,851 for nine (four people: HK$5,899; five: HK$6,899; six: HK$7,887; seven: HK$8,875; eight: HK$9,863).

“For example, you could invite two friends from Shanghai, one from Kunming and one from Taipei, a total of four air tickets, for only HK$5,899,” explained Mr Diu. “There’s never been such an affordable opportunity to get your acquaintances all together in one place.”

The “Let’s Meet in Hong Kong” campaign runs from May 25 to September 10 this year, with tickets valid for stays of between three and seven nights.
