Martin van der Reijden appointed Managing Director of Per Aquum's Resort Collection

Per Aquum has appointed Martin van der Reijden to the position of Managing Director Resort Collection. Martin will assume the role on 1st August 2006.

Martin will oversee all current properties within the Resort Collection including Huvafen Fushi, Dhoni Mighili, The Fortress, Desert Palm and Vie. In addition to this he will work closely with Kristina Pacheco Group Director of Project Development to source new resort management opportunities throughout the Indian Ocean and Asia including India, Thailand, Malaysia and the Middle East.

Martin joins Per Aquum from the Conrad Phuket Resort & Spa where he held the position of General Manager as well as simultaneously holding the positions of Hilton South Asia Food & Beverage Coordinator and Project Management Hilton Krabi, Conrad Chiang Mai. Prior to this he was General Manager Hilton Sydney Airport Hotel and in addition Hilton Australasia Food & Beverage Coordinator. He has a history of successfully holding multiple roles and this skill has ensured he consistently delivers outstanding results.

He is a dynamic individual with strong food and beverage and operations knowledge and an excellent range of international experience across all sectors of the hospitality industry. His career has taken him to Australia, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Switzerland and Thailand, he speaks fluent German, English, Dutch and French and is married with two children.
