South Australian ‘Holiday Police’ to encourage Singaporeans to Slow Down

Travel News Asia Wednesday, 16 August 2006

The South Australian ‘Holiday Police’ will be setting up pavement blocks at Raffles Place Park in Singapore to deter speed walkers from walking hastily and hurriedly. Two uniformed ‘police officers’ will be patrolling the area to issue the Slow Down flyers to speed walkers and encourage them to visit South Australia for a different kind of tempo and lifestyle.

The patrollers will be making their rounds from 22-24 August from noon to 2pm.

The event is organized by the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) and Singapore Airlines (SIA).
