Boeing
has delivered the first Next-Generation 737-800 airplane to Atlas Blue, a low-cost carrier based in Marrakech, Morocco.
Atlas Blue’s newest and most advanced jetliner left Boeing Field this past Friday on a ferry flight to Morocco where it will join the airline’s primary
fleet of six 737-400s. Atlas Blue is pursuing a growth strategy that will see the airline incorporate two new airplanes per year with the goal of
building a modern fleet of 24 airplanes by 2012.
Atlas Blue was launched in 2004 as a fully owned subsidiary of Royal Air Maroc and provides direct international service from Marrakech and
Agadir to destinations across Europe.
