Jet Airways Offers Special Inaugural Airfares on its new Singapore - Delhi Service

Travel News Asia Tuesday, 12 September 2006

Jet Airways is offering special, inaugural air fares for its new service between Singapore and Delhi, which launched last week.

For as low as Sin$500 return fare on Economy class, passengers from Singapore can travel to the majestic capital city of India, New Delhi. For passengers travelling in groups of two or more, the deal is even more attractive with a special return fare of Sin$450 per person. For the Club Premiere (Business Class) passengers, the promotional air fare stands at Sin$1596, exclusive of taxes.

This offer is valid until September 30, 2006 and is subject to certain terms and conditions.

Delhi marks the third destination for Jet Airways operations out of Singapore, the other two being Mumbai and Chennai. Since the start of operations in April 2005 with seven flights a week, Jet Airways will now operate 21 daily fights a week to India – a three-fold increase in 17 months.

“The additional destination and flights are a reflection of the growing traffic between Singapore and India,” said Mr. V Raja, Vice President for Asia Pacific. “This is contributing to the rise in more economic, social and cultural exchange between the two countries,” he added.

Flight 9W 017 takes off from Singapore’s Changi Airport at 2300 hours (Singapore Time) and arrives in New Delhi at 0215 hours the next day. The return flight 9W 018 departs from New Delhi at 0835 hours and reaches Singapore’s Changi Airport at 1650 hours (Singapore Time) the same day.

This new daily service is operated with the new generation of Boeing B737-800, a state-of-the-art aircraft with winglets for improved performance. The aircraft has been specially configured for long-distance routes with 16 seats in Club Premiere and 124 seats in the Economy Class.
