SilkAir to increase Fuel Surcharge on China and India Sectors

Travel News Asia 26 April 2005

SilkAir is to increase its surcharge for travel on its China and India sectors from 6 May 2005 onwards.

The surcharge will be raised from US$22 per sector to US$30 per sector and will be imposed on all SilkAir flights between Singapore and India, as well as Singapore and China.

SilkAir's surcharge on travel to other sectors remains unchanged at US$10 per sector.

The revised surcharge is in line with the latest increases of other international airlines and is subject to official approval in some markets.

The Singapore based airline last revised its fuel surcharge on 1 November 2004.
