Greg Dogan appointed Vice President at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has appointed Greg Dogan as vice president.

Based in Shanghai, Mr. Dogan is responsible for nine of the group's 19 mainland China hotels, ensuring that these properties meet their financial performance targets and comply with corporate operational standards. In addition, he oversees four new hotel projects in Chengdu, Xian, Shenzhen and Ningbo in mainland China.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Dogan was the area manager and general manager based at Shangri-La Hotel, Dalian, and previously, was resident manager at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta. He joined Shangri-La in 1997 as executive assistant manager of the Mactan Island Resort, Cebu.

Mr. Dogan, a graduate of Westminster Hotel Management Institute and Dover College in England, has held senior managerial positions at luxury hotels in Spain, Dubai, and China before he joined Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
