One
of the most relaxing ways to travel through Europe is by train, and Rail Tickets
in Australia is offering a range of special deals in Britain and Italy during the Christmas-New Year period.
These special offers slice 25% off the cost of six BritRail passes, and 20% off Trenitalia
passes, and because these deals are offered in the Northern Winter, they also offer Australians the novel prospect of some spectacular white scenery during what are
their summer months.
BritRail is offering discounts off First Class tickets for adult, senior and youth passengers, and Standard Class adult and youth tickets.
For Standard Class travel, prices start at just
A$53 for a “2 days in 8 days” BritRail London Plus Pass for youths, and
A$71 for adults.
Also available are the:
- BritRail Classic Pass
from A$163 Youth Standard Class, A$217 Adult Standard Class,
- BritRail FlexiPass
from A$208 Youth Standard, A$277 Adult Standard, BritRail England Consecutive Pass
from A$132 Youth Standard, A$176 Adult Standard,
- BritRail England FlexiPass
from A$166 Youth Standard and A$221 Adult Standard and
- BritRail Scottish Freedom Pass
A$222 Adult Standard.
All travel must be booked by 31 December, 2005, and travel must be completed by 28 February, 2006. A
A$10 Pass Issuance Fee applies.
For
travel in Italy, Rail Tickets offers the Trenitalia Pass, again with a range of adult and youth fares for varying travel periods.
Prices start at just
A$209 for a Youth 2nd Class “4 days in 2 months” pass, and A$207 for an Adult Saverpass Second Class.
The discounted SaverPass is available when two or more adults are travelling together.
Bookings must be made and paid for by 31 December, 2005, for travel between now and 31 March, 2006.
